2K21 MT has generated some pretty big changes to how shooting works. If you're coming off playing previous iterations of this game, you're likely to notice some fairly spectacular changes. Even veterans of this show might end up whiffing shots or launching the ball to the audience here -- that is how different it's in 2021's version of this title. The shooting system in NBA 2K21 revolves more about shooting styles, with an emphasis on how individual players actually play the ball. Various styles present different boosts to a player's shot percent based on how catchy their shooting method is. Continue reading below for some hints about the best way best to master this almost arcane sys..Talking of refinement, the upgraded version of 2K21 receives any serious improvement to the consumer experience too. First, the entire UI has been completely overhauled - it is unique to the next-gen version. The speed of the storage enables a more dynamic team selection screen also since it's possible to quickly load in new character models. It's a large update, enhanced still further by immense improvements in loading, which essentially gets rid of all loading screens.
While there is even more about NBA 2K21 to discover, I feel that this is a fantastic primer about what you can expect from the new version of the sport, but I figure the remaining question here boils down to how this name is delivered on each the next-gen systems. The good thing is that they're virtually identical visually. PS5 and String X offer a full native 4K presentation - it seems super sharp on both the systems and all visuals look the same between them. The PS4 Pro version that I used for last-gen testing, by the way, also seems to operate at native 4K but obviously using decreased visual fidelity. The one difference , predictably, lies with the Series S variant. This one runs at a native 1080p instead. You get all the same next-gen visuals because it's bigger brother, only in a lower resolution.
I'd say that NBA 2K21 is a great release for all consoles and far more impressive than I expected. While the limitations in the animation are still evident in points, it's the liquid and realistic-looking basketball game I've ever noticed. Visual Concepts has established a high bar here in regards to visual quality and this is only the beginning, really. Additionally, it is wonderful to realize that this variant is totally separate from the last-gen iteration, suggesting they're building from a new starting point. I expect we will continue to see things improve over time and I'll be interested to learn how other companies like EA Sports manage the transition. FIFA 21 has just received its own next-gen upgrade (featuring Frostbite's much-vaunted Buy NBA 2K MT hair physics, no less) and we'll be taking a look at this soon.
